This page of photos are from Day 5, Ponil to Pueblano. We enjoyed a great chuckwagon breakfast of pancakes and sausage at Ponil, before getting our BURRO that would be our constant companion for the next two days. The boys loved it! The beast of burden came just in time, too, as we had a new supply of three days' worth of food. We got to Pueblano in good time, but unfortunately, due to the late start getting the burro, all the spar pole climbing slots were full by the time we got there. But they let us do our conservation project there, and after supper we enjoyed a game of "loggerball" and a FANTASTIC campfire concert, with banjo, guitar, string bass, and mandolin(?).me of "loggerball" and a FANTASTIC campfire concert, with banjo, guitar, string bass, and mandolin(?). These guys look like lumberjacks but sound like professional musicians! This is the night I really fell in love with Philmont.
