Another busy weekend for
Troop72.com! It started on Friday
night, when a record EIGHT (8) of our Scouts departed for the Order of
the Arrow "Ordeal". Remaining Scouts did a one-day canoe trip down the
Red Cedar River in Western Wisconsin, from Highway 64 down to a park
just north of Colfax.
By 7:00 a.m. Sunday, the two halves of Troop 72 joined to host a great pancake breakfast at Chippewa Valley Bible Church. Marcus Culbert, newly graduated from Chi-Hi, was in charge of all the cooking as his last act of service to the troop before leaving to be a cook on a Navy submarine. Sausage and eggs were donated by his employer, Heckel's Family Restaurant. Thanks, Heckel's, and Marcus -- we will miss you!
