On the weekend of February 8-10, 2008, the Scouts of
Troop72.com survived a frigid stay at
Fred C. Andersen
Scout Reservation on the banks of the St. Croix River.
Saturday morning was beautiful, but while sledding, temperatures dropped like a rock. By Sunday afternoon, the air temp was -15F, with -40F wind chills. Everything froze, including four of our five vehicles! (Read a newspaper column about the trip.) The patrols did a great job on their second annual "dinner theater" competition. (Each patrol gets to take over an 8-man "Adirondacks" cabin with no adults.) Here are a some photos I took with my FZ50 camera. - Tom Arneberg (toma@arneberg.com) |
